The Evoke Wellness FL Team
At Evoke Wellness Florida, our entire team is dedicated to our patients and our primary mission is to evoke healing and wellness through proven therapy for you or your loved one going through detox.
The Evoke team is centric to our licensed physicians and nurses, however, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Our team consists of a wide range of behavioral health professionals to pave the road to recovery. Psychiatrists, therapists, counselors and other medical professionals have come together to set the course for recovery. Many of our staff have gone through recovery themselves personally, and as a result, they have devoted themselves to helping you on your journey.

Meet Michelle Mitchelle, formally the Director of Human Resources and now the Senior Manager of Administration & Procurement. She holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration and Finance from Brooklyn College N.Y., and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in FL.
Michelle has worked in a managerial capacity for the following United Nations entities: UNDP, BDP, OIST and UNFCU. As the Senior Manager of Administration & Procurement her duties are inclusive of the implementation of strategies, policies, procedures compliant; moreover, all administration, procurement and financial record keeping aspects for Evoke Wellness FL.
Senior Manager of Operations
As the Senior Manager of Operations at Evoke Wellness FL, Kurt oversees the day to day operations, making sure that every person that walks through the door is getting the support they need. He is dedicated to encouraging and supporting those taking their first steps in recovery. His dedication, drive and organizational skills combined with his leadership skills ensure the high standards of client care at Evoke Wellness Florida.
Adriana Aycart began her career in 2011 after graduating with her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She has spent the last decade working in the field of mental health, became a licensed mental health counselor in 2014, and is a qualified supervisor helping other clinicians get licensed in the field as well. Adriana has worked with a variety of clients ranging from children to adults in areas such as foster care, community mental health programs but most specifically in adult addiction rehabilitation centers, helping clients overcome and cope with substance abuse disorders, mood disorders and trauma.
For the past 5 years, Adriana has been working in the Clinical Director role helping to guide clinical teams to reach their best potential in order to provide long-lasting, quality care to clients in drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation centers. Adriana believes that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to working with clients to help make the changes necessary to help them thrive and not just survive in life.
Trudy Ann Powell
Trudy-Ann Powell has over 13 years experience in the Mental Health and Addiction field with experience at the Detox, Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and the Outpatient Level of care. In which she served as the Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Coordinator, and Clinical Therapist respectably. She studied at Andrew’s University in Berrien Springs, Michigan where she completed her Master’s degree in Social Work and is a proud inductee in the Phi Alpha Honors Society. She also studied at Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica where she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Science in Counseling. She also holds her Certified Masters Addiction Professional (MCAP) in the state of Florida. She also holcds certification from the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (ICADC) along with other certifications in Marriage and Family Therapy and is also currently a Registered Social Work Intern in honorable status.
Additionally, Trudy loves helping persons to recover and refocus their lives and in this regards, she attended numerous supervisory skill training workshops and seminars, all aimed at sharpening her therapy skills. She is also trained in various modalities in treating co-occurring disorders in which she specializes in DBT, CBT, 12 Steps Recovery, Reality Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, and Motivational interviewing. She specializes in Crisis Interventions/AMA blocking, Mediation, Grounding, Teaching coping skills, and Modeling. She strongly believes that recovery can only be truly attained when there is acceptance, honesty, trust, hard work, commitment to the process, the forgiveness of oneself, and family support.
Daniel Olaciregui, LMHC began his journey in the mental health and substance abuse field in 2017 when he graduated with his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Daniel had a change in his career path when he decided to study Mental Health Counseling as he realized helping others is what he truly wanted in life.
Daniel is passionate about working with clients who struggle with both drug/alcohol addiction as well as untreated mental health issues. Daniel is an expert in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is also EMDR trained. As a primary therapist, Daniel’s focus is always client care, and what he can do during clients’ stay at Evoke Wellness to make it memorable and helpful for them.
Joe attended Texas Southern University (TSU) after completing High School at South Dade High in ’76. After two years of study, Joe discontinued his education and enlisted in the United States Army in the 2nd Airborne Division as a Paratrooper, he served four years and received an Honorable Discharge.
Joe’s chosen field of study was driven by his desire to promote a positive change to the economically and / or socially disadvantage. In his own words: “I do believe that we are our brother’s keeper. We have a responsibility to prepare ourselves with every method available to make a difference in the lives of those we encounter daily. It is so easy to criticize, demand, or simply ignore the disintegration of our society. If each one reaches one, we can make a profound impact on our world. The Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr states, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.” I have come to understand that knowledge is power, and my goal now is to help others discover this power and avoid the perils and pit falls that my journey led me through.”
Karen began preparing for her current role as Primary Therapist when she earned a Bachelor in Arts degree in psychology from Florida International University in 2015. Continuing her studies at Florida International University, Karen obtained her Master’s degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, Karen is preparing to become a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working toward licensure. Karen’s clinical orientations are Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Karen’s approach is strength-based in helping clients identify underlying issues behind addictive behaviors as well as building and reinforcing internal positive qualities and resourcefulness. Bringing a sense of calm and being present in attending is integral to Karen’s focus in partnering with clients. Truly understanding the need for creating safe spaces where clients can begin or continue moving toward uncovering their best selves is her ultimate goal.
Director of Admissions
Gina McCullough was a dedicated educator in the Palm Beach County school system for ten years. She received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Special Education from St. Bonaventure University, in upstate New York. In 2016, Gina decided to leave the traditional classroom setting and utilize her teaching ability in a different sector after being offered a job as a client care coordinator in a drug treatment center.
Gina ran and supervised all the client care correspondences for three facilities in West Palm Beach, FL. Roles included group facilitating, case management, medical technician, etc., before taking on leadership roles in all three departments. Working one on one with client care and helping those in recovery, Gina has been able to come full circle by accepting the Director of Admissions position at Evoke Wellness. Working in detox and residential inpatient will now give Gina full experience working all levels of care in the treatment sector.
I have seen people make dramatic shifts in their lifestyle for the better and I am glad that I can be there to assist clients to recognize their life’s potential.
Director of Operations
Adam was born and spent most of his life in Central New Jersey. In 2013 he moved to South Florida in order to deal with his own addiction issues and get a new start. After spending time working on himself and with others, he went back to work, this time in the field of treating addiction.
His first job in the treatment field was as a Behavioral Health Technician. Growing and excelling there, he was soon promoted and transferred to manage the company’s Detox facility. Adam has been with Evoke Wellness Florida for the past three years. He uses his experience to maintain the day-to-day operation of the facility, and compassion to deal with the patient base.
Adam takes great pride in the teams he supervises, and the positive environment they have helped create here at Evoke. He believes client safety and client care are of the utmost importance and keeps it at the forefront of all that EVOKE does!
Dr. Augustine Adiboshi
Augustine Adiboshi, MD is a graduate of the University of Calabar school of medical sciences, Nigeria, University of Tennessee, Memphis, TN, University of Reno, Nevada, and the University of Miami, Miami.
Dr. Adiboshi, did his Adult psychiatry residency, at UT Memphis and Child and Adolescent fellowship training at the University of Reno, Nevada, and University of Miami, Miami. I am double board certified. I have a specialized interest in Addiction psychiatry.
I have worked as medical director in several in-patient and out-patient psychiatry settings and drug rehabilitation facilities, which include; but is not limited to Watershed treatment centers, in Boca and Boyton, Destination hope, and Solid sobriety in Pompano Beach.
I proudly hold the position of Medical Director at the first-class enviable Evoke Wellness, Miramar, Florida.
I am very dedicated to patient care that centers on attention to detail, compassion, respect, and dignity. I strongly believe that substance abuse is a serious medical/psychiatric condition that needs a non-judgmental approach.
Director of Nursing
Pastel attended Keiser Institute and graduated in 2011. She began working at Fort Lauderdale Hospital after graduation as a Licensed Practical Nurse. While at the Keiser Institute, her work ethic and leadership skills were recognized. She was honored to receive the Employee of The Year award in 2015.
Although she enjoyed her position as an LPN, Pastel always dreamed of playing a more integral role as a leader in healthcare. She would often reflect on her personal experiences to encourage her to achieve her goal. Pastel assisted her mother in the daily care of her maternal grandmother. This experience has had a huge impact on Pastel’s passion to help others in need. The love she felt when caring for her grandmother has helped her become a more compassionate nurse and patient advocate.
Pastel began working at Evoke Wellness in 2018 while she continued her education. She graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree from Southeastern College(2020). After 10 years of experience and gaining knowledge on substance use disorders, Pastel’s dream was fulfilled. She was promoted to Director of Nursing at Evoke Wellness. Pastel continues to be a dedicated leader by maintaining effective relationships with staff and improving the quality of care for all patients.
In her free time, Pastel enjoys traveling, watching professional basketball games, and spending time with family and friends.
Assistant Director of Nursing
Sharmia started her nursing career as an LPN in 2009. She has over 10 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse which she uses to provide excellent care to her patients. She started with Evoke Wellness in 2018 as a Nursing Supervisor. Her consistent leadership, organization, and training skills truly make her an asset to this company.
In 2019 She was promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Nursing. In her current position, she works closely with the Director of Nursing and Physicians to maintain quality nursing care. She is currently pursuing her RN degree and plans to continue her career with Evoke Wellness once that is achieved.
James T. Figueroa has been at Evoke for the past 2 years. He has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 11 years. He was a Registered Nurse for 10 years prior to that. He spent a career as a firefighter/paramedic for 30 years, retiring as a Fire Rescue Lieutenant.
His passion for work is in his enjoyment of helping educate others. In addition to his work at Evoke, he conducts home health risk assessments for aging clients with co-morbidities. He also works at Miami Dade College as an adjunct professor teaching the EMT and Paramedic students in their quest to become future firefighter/paramedics. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, the Miami Heat, and traveling.
Mrs. Sayan Graham is an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, board-certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), with over 13 years of experience in the healthcare profession. She has completed her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing degrees at Kaplan University with a graduate program focused on the adult and geriatric population. She also received a Certification in Forensic Nursing at Kaplan College. Mrs. Graham has worked with Substance Use Disorder for over 10 years. She is Certified in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and Medications for Addiction Treatment/Substance Use Disorder with the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. She has also worked in dermatology, performing medical and cosmetic procedures.
Mrs. Graham is an active member of the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses and the American Nurses Association. She provides safe, quality, effective care to individuals of the adult and geriatric community. Mrs. Graham desires to provide the highest quality of care driven by compassion, resolve, and competence.
Senior Manager of Case Management
Pete is the Senior Manager of Case Management at Evoke Wellness, Marine Corp, honorable discharged vet, and a retired Officer from the Dept of Corrections in Connecticut. Pete has 11 years of sobriety and his recovery started in 2010. Peter quickly developed a passion for helping others in the recovery community. Pete began working in the addiction treatment industry in 2010 and has experience in Program Development, Addiction within the Family, Admission, Billing, and Operations all due to being part owner of a Treatment Center in 2014 here in Florida and finally received his education in Addiction Studies.
Pete sees and believes that addiction is a disease and the only way to battle it is working with others with Patient, Love, and Tolerance. At Evoke as Case Manager Pete sees his job as a puzzle and all the pieces will come together. The only way this puzzle (clients needs) comes together is by motivation, meeting the client where they are at, consistency, finally showing the clients that are present not just someone in the crowd and always working for them. If you decide to come to our facility, you will defiantly feel the unconditional love that you have been missing for some time.
Senior Human Resources Manager
Davon Smith serves as Senior Human Resource Manager of Evoke Wellness. Mrs. Smith is a certified Human Resource professional specializing in the training and development of people. She is especially recognized for her experience in project management, culture change, and employee program development.
Davon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis in Corporate Communications from Lindenwood University and received her certification in Human Resource Management from the Florida Atlantic University Executive Education program.
Human Resources Supervisor
Danielle Ramdhansingh was born and raised in St.Thomas United States Virgin Islands she later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she attended the art institute of Fort Lauderdale and received a bachelor’s of science in culinary management.
Danielle has been cooking for 12 years and brings passion, creativity, and deliciousness to every meal. She always lives by “good food makes people smile”.
Danielle enjoys traveling, being a mom, and spending time with family.
Our Head Chef Hector Rivera is originally from Paterson, New Jersey. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in 2005. Hector is a navy veteran who cooked in the Navy for over 2 years. He has since been cooking for approximately 23 years, and has a passion for helping people in recovery. Hector is certified in cuisines from across the world and is currently enrolled in a Certified Dietary Management (CDM) course.
